At the end of July, VZMD President, Mr. Kristjan Verbič, attended the WORLD LAW CONGRESS that took place at the headquarters of the UNITED NATIONS in New York as the only speaker from Slovenia. The visit was part of the greater world tour of the VZMD's international business-investor programs: Invest to Slovenia & International Investors` Network, during which he traveled around the globe on business for two months to visit Vietnam, Singapore, Belgium, Finland, and South Korea. In fact, this lengthy tour started with the participation in the economic delegation to Vietnam's capital Hanoi, which accompanied the Vice-President of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Tanja Fajon, on the occasion of her official visit, and prior to this stopped at Ho Chi Minh City, the biggest city of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. From there, Mr. Verbič flew to Singapore where he attended one of the flagship tech events in Asia, the Asia Tech x Singapore, at the invitation of the organizers. VZMD President left the Asian part of the tour to visit Brussels where he attended the annual meeting of the European Federation of Investors and Financial Services Users (BETTER FINANCE), the meeting of the World Federation of Investors (WFI), as well as the international investor conference. Immediately after Mr. Verbič traveled to Helsinki where he attended – as the member of the Financial Services User Group at the European Commission – an important two-day meeting of this Expert Advisory Group (FSUG). After the busy stopover in Europe, the VZMD President visited Seoul where he joined the economic delegation to South Korea, accompanying the Vice-President of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Ms. Tanja Fajon, and the Minister of the Economy, Tourism and Sport, Mr. Matjaž Han, on the occasion of their official visit. Mr. Verbič left South Korea to fly, with a brief visit to San Francisco and Los Angeles, to New York, where he – alongside the events and his role as the speaker at the World Law Congress, and prior to this in Hollywood – visited and addressed (VIDEO: https://youtu.be/ulhWdny4k14)the striking American actors and screenwriters as members of their professional associations (SAG AFTRA & WGA).
As always, this international tour of the VZMD also included the presentation of the investment opportunities, activities, and possibilities of the Invest to Slovenia & International Investors’ Network programs. Furthermore, the VZMD is inviting business entities, institutions and projects to join their efforts within international business-investor programs. Concurrently, the next international tour is already underway which took Mr. Verbič to Santiago de Compostela in Spain (VIDEO: https://youtu.be/NtNa3B9AFEg) where he, at the invitation of the organizers, attended the EUROFI Financial Forum which was held alongside the meeting of the European ministers of economy and finance ECOFIN. In the coming days, VZMD President will attend the Joint ESAs CONSUMER PROTECTION DAY held in Madrid. This tour will end in mid October in Vienna with the International investor conference of the European Federation of Investors (BETTER FINANCE) and the Austrian Association of Investors (IVA).
