Next month, the United Nations (UN) headquarters in New York City will host the World Law Congress organized by the World Jurist Association (VIDEO: https://youtu.be/5_9_oGlDi_4). The event will be actively attended by Mr. Kristjan Verbič, the sole representative from Slovenia, in his role as the VZMD President. To Mr. Verbič, being listed as one of the speakers on the panel 'ANTI-CORRUPTION: LINKS TO ORGANIZED CRIME' is a great honor and serves as a recognition of countless efforts, both domestic and international, and the prominent and active role of the VZMD.
This will not be the first visit of Mr. Verbič to the UN, as he had actively attended the international forum of Independent Financial Advisors (CIFA) in 2019, organized in collaboration with the Economic and Social Council of the UN (ECOSOC) and a group of G77 developing countries. Back then, he had also a privilege to address the distinguished guests at the reception of the sponsors at the prominent Metropolitan Club, and had given several interviews for the media (VIDEO: https://youtu.be/Zqejvr6V2vM).
VZMD's presence in New York with its international business-investor programs: Invest to Slovenia (investo.si) and International Investors' Network (investo.international) has been a long-standing affair. Among other things, in 2015, Mr. Verbič had attended the grand opening of the Consulate General of the Republic of Slovenia, the business breakfast with the financial industry representatives, as well as the meeting organized by the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) and the Luxembourg Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (LPEA).
