Today at 1:00 p.m. (Slovene time) the international web conference “Prospects for developing cooperation between Russia and Slovenia in the post-pandemic period”, organized by Moscow Chamber of Commerce (MCCI), will take place. The participants and prominent guests will discuss the past and the current examples of cooperation between the Russian and the Slovene business entities and business communities, and will attempt to define the priority areas for strengthening and developing the cooperation in light of next perspectives, as well as estimate the difficulties and potential complications related to sanctions and the COVID-19 pandemic.
The VZMD President, Mr. Kristjan Verbič, is among the invited speakers and will explain the endeavors and the numerous activities of the international business-investor programs of the VZMD: Invest to Slovenia – investo.si and International Investors' Network – investo.international. As part of them, Mr. Verbič visited Russian Federation eight times in the past eight years and participated in business conferences and meetings, and was a member of economic delegations. Apart from the prominent speakers, Suren Vardanyan, the MCCI vice-president, His Excellency Branko Rakovec, the Slovene ambassador in Moscow, and His Excellency Timur Eyvazov, the Russian Federation ambassador to Slovenia, the participation in the conference has been confirmed by as many as 103 representatives of companies and institutions. MCCI has successfully organized similar web conferences with Germany, France, Benelux countries and China.
