In addition to the grand opening, the historical Bračak Chateau hosted a round table of the ministers discussing the development of global cooperation to enable financial inclusion and facilitate startups' and fast-growing SMEs' access to international finances. At the round table, the views were shared by the Minister of Development of the Republic of Ghana, Mr. Alhaji Mohammed Ibrahim Awal, the Minster of Innovation of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Besim Beqaj, and the Minister of Regulations for Improvement of the Investment Climate for Domestic Companies of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Zoran Sapuric. The main ceremony was followed by a formal reception by the President of the Republic of Croatia, Ms. Kolinda Grabar Kitarović.

After being personally invited by the WBAF Chairman Mr. Baybars Altuntas, Mr. Kristjan Verbič, the VZMD President, attended the event immediately after returning from the 10th Gaidar Forum in Moscow. As part of its international business-investor programs investo.si and invest-to.net, the VZMD established excellent collaboration with the above mentioned organization on various levels, including on the occasion of participating at the 2013 European Business Angel Network (EBAN) Congress (VIDEO) in Vienna, at the 2014 European Business Angels Investment Forum in Istanbul (VIDEO) and actively participating in the 2015 business angels delegation to Albania, Kosovo, and Macedonia (VIDEO), and at a number of other conferences and meetings in Helsinki in 2014, in Eindhoven in 2015, and in Malaga in 2017.
