The international fair FIHAV is one of the most important general fairs in Cuba and the Caribbean, and one of the most visited and international fairs in Latin America in general. At the fair, which has been organized ever since 1983, all Cuban economic sectors are represented, while other numerous international exhibitors showed their presence either. In 2017, the fair saw an attendance of as many as 4,500 exhibitors from over 60 countries. On the margins of the fair events, Mr. Verbič attended several meetings and B2B talks, and among other things, met with also with Canadian business people of Slovenian origins. The VZMD has already established close collaboration within the international business-investor programs, but to the highest extent during two past visits of the Slovenian economic delegation to Canada. In Havana, he met with and established connection with some Slovenian and foreign business people conducting business in Cuba.

On these occasions, it was taken care of efficient presentation of activities and opportunities included in the VZMD's international business-investor programs.
