The past weekend, the president of the Republic of Malta, Her Excellency Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, has hosted the Slovene delegation ‒ the representatives of the Hiša Sonca society and the Druga Violina restaurant, who were on a three-day official visit to the presidential palace. On Saturday, they organized a high-profile charity dinner and formal reception together with the Maltese "Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation" society (MCCFF). The reception took place in support of efforts by Maltese hosts to follow the successful Slovene example and establish a concept of a restaurant which also employs special needs persons.
Under the guidance of the renowned Slovene chef, Mr. Jožef Oseli, the Slovene team hosted numerous prominent guests, representatives of diplomacy, institutions and companies. At the invitation of the organizer, the event was also attended by the PanSlovenian Investors’ & Shareholders' Association (VZMD) President, Mr. Kristjan Verbič, who was visiting Malta on a private visit, and who congratulated the representatives of Slovenia for their excellent representation and successful establishment of unique paths for strengthening personal, humanitarian and business relationships, especially because of the genuine civil-society and admirable nature of the initiative. Mr. Verbič also spoke to the Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Slovenia to Malta, Mr. Nicholas A. Baldacchino, the President of the Maltese AX Holdings, Mr. Angel Xuerebo, and the event co-organizers, attorney, Mr. Anton Pregelj, the winemaker, Mr. Boštjan Protner, the Director of the Education, Work and Care Center of Dolfka Boštjančič, Mrs. Valerija Bužan, and many others.
