The purpose of organizing and establishing the Slovenia Business Center is to ensure an effective promotion of Slovenia, the Slovenian economy as well as to boost business cooperation with the host country of the championship and all other interested countries. The Slovenia Center is comprised of two parts; on one hand, it is a Business Center, and a Fanzone on the other. "SLOVENIA BUSINESS CENTER" will have a unique area (exhibition space/showroom) especially dedicated for economic, political, cultural, media, sporting and other meetings as well as for socializing. The wide-ranging program will include events, which shall strive to enhance the business cooperation between Slovenia, Croatia and the entire region.

The adress at the opening ceremony of the Slovenia Center in Croatia will be given by the president of the Handball Federation of Slovenia, Mr. Franjo Bobinac, and by the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia in Croatia, Ms. Smiljana Knez. Several other events and activities will follow, among them the round table discussion "The Experiences and Opportunities of Big Cities: Sports Tourism and the Organization of Major Sports Events", participated by the Mayors of Ljubljana, Zagreb, Skopje and Podgorica; round table discussion "Sport as an economic stimulant" with a honorary guest, the President of UEFA, Mr. Aleksander Čeferin; Economic meeting "Examples of Projects and Good Practices of "Green Technology"", adressed by the Slovenian Minister of Economic Development and Technology, Mr. Zdravko Počivalšek; the pre-mentioned presentation of the Better Finance and international business-investor programs of the VZMD by Mr. Verbič and Ms. Benner-Heinacher; different panels, forums, informal business gatherings and business lunches.

VZMD decided to actively participate in this year's Slovenia Center due to their extremely successful participation in the high-profile Slovenia Centers already at the World Handball Championships in Qatar in 2015, the European Championship in Poland (VIDEO) in 2016 and the World Championship in France in 2017.
