After the last night's reception and gala dinner, the today's events continued into the meeting of the Executive Board, whose member is also the VZMD President, and the General Meeting of this influential European association is taking place, which brings together over 50 national and transnational associations and over four million of individual investors.

Currently the international conference "THE NEW EU SHAREHOLDER RIGHTS" is taking place, which is organized by Better Finance together with Malta Association of Small Shareholders (MASS). Numerous international guests and experts were initially addressed by the MASS President, Mr. Alfred Portelli, and the local Minister of Finance, Mr. Edward Scicluna, followed by the presentation of the new European directive regarding the protection of shareholders, which was given by the representative from the Directorate General for Justice and Consumers at the European Commission, Ms. Joanne Sikora-Wittnebel. The interesting event will be followed by the presentations and speech of the Secretary General of European Issuers (EuropeanIssuers), Ms. Florence Bindelle, the Chairman of the Board of the Malta Stock Exchange, Mr. Joseph Portelli, and chairman of the Malta Financial Service Authority (MFSA), Mr. Joe Banister.
