7th International Investors' Conference and GA of Euroshareholders in Wiesbaden – reputable Slovenian companies again present

7thThrough the program investo.si (Invest to Slovenia), VZMD again invited Slovenian companies to partake at the 7th International Investors' Conference in Wiesbaden through their inclusion of promotional materials.

WFICIn Paris, from the 17th to the 20th of November, representatives of the PanSlovenian Shareholders' Association, through the program Invest to Slovenia, actively participated in the annual meeting of the World Federation of Investors Corporation (WFIC) and Actionaria, the largest European stock market investment convention, at which, through the PanSlovenian Shareholders' Association, VZMD, Slovenia was the only country, that systematically and wholly represented its most important and economically-valued companies; hence, its sustainable environment and condition. This years' Actionaria convention, which was located at the eminent, Parisian Palais des Congres, hosted over 34,000 visitors and 150 exhibitors in five themed areas of business. Furthermore, Actionaria offered more than 100 conference sessions, discussion groups and workshops, which were presided by top international managers and experts

EUROVOTE 2011 – Slovenian lenders are welcomed to join Mercator's lead; welcome all banks, funds, stockbrokers, and investors via investo.si in collaboration with VZMD.

On Friday, October 29, 2010, the first in a series of meetings in regards to the development of the EuroVote project, which was also initiated by VZMD at a general assembly of Euroshareholders in Madrid on June 6, 2010, was successfully executed by the governing body.

Starting today, Paris is showcasing perspective Slovenian companies - through VZMD and investo.si at the largest European stock market investment convention, ACTIONARIA, and the general assembly of WFIC. Today, the president of VZMD attended the general assembly of the WFIC – World Federation of Investors Corporations, which VZMD has been a part of since the 2007 assembly in Brussels and became an active member of at the 2008 assembly in Sao Paulo.

The Annual Meeting of WFIC took place in Paris on November 17-19, 2010. Aldo Sicurani, Secrétaire Général of Fédération Française des Clubs d'/Investissement, was our host. Aldo, NYSE/Euronext, and Paris provided a wonderful environment for meetings and networking. In addition to celebrating the continued growth in membership, WFIC members unanimously elected recently retired Euroshareholder Secretary General Jean-Pierre Paelinck as Secretary General of the WFIC. Aldo Sicurani was unanimously elected Treasurer of WFIC. Individual members presented new investor education resources and a schedule was adopted for developing a basic curriculum. Members embraced the continuation of interactions with public companies as part of the educational objective.

WFIC hosted a dinner the first evening, which was followed by two very enriching days of conferences which focused on the matters crucial to investors. During the WFIC Board Meeting new officers were elected and a Future Strategy focused on investor education was approved. The highlight of the joint meetings was a final dinner honoring retiring Euroshareholder Secretary General Jean-Pierre Paelinck.
