The WFI - World Federation of Investors President and Secretary General, Jean-Pierre Paelinck, lectured at the 2012 IFIE (International Forum for Investor Education) /IOSCO (International Organization for Securities Commissions) Investor Education Conference, which was held Seoul, South Korea on May 21, 2012. Jean-Pierre Paelinck also stated that the conference is a wonderful opportunity to further propagate the one major goals of the WFI, which is to educate investors. He went on to say,"This is for the World Federation of Investors of substantial importance, because this will allow us to inspire ways of helping in an effective way the investors, who in this period of time go through a period of uncertainty and in many cases of disappointment. It will also draw the attention to the marvelous efforts done by so many of our national associations in terms of conferences, seminars, presentations, regional meetings and other publications of financial magazines and TV presentations and financial talk shows. I really want to make sure that participants at the seminar will be informed on what we all are doing (to educate investors), most of the time on a voluntary basis and without much material/financial support."
