Next week, Lithuania's Vilnius will host the annual meeting of the European Federation of Investors and Financial Services Users (BETTER FINANCE), organized together with the local investor association Lietuvos investuotojų asociacija (LIA). During the three days of events, the international investor conference "Shaping the Future of Finance" (VIDEO: https://youtu.be/besk4U2nPX4) will also take place in addition to the BETTER FINANCE's General Assembly, the meeting of its Executive Board, and multiple receptions. The main focus of the conference is the role of the Capital Markets Union (CMU) in reviving the securities investments and ensuring fair conditions for everyone. The discussion will also touch on the impact of financial technologies, artificial intelligence, and crypto assets on attracting individual investors, as well as the risks associated with the new trends. Alongside the conference, NASDAQ will be present with their showroom where the B2B meetings and talks will take place. Many distinguished guests attending the conference, including the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania, Ms. Gintarė Skaistė, the Chairman of the Board of the Bank of Lithuania, Mr. Gediminas Šimkus, the Rector of the Vilnius University, Mr. Rimvydas Petrauskas, the Chairperson of the European Banking Authority (EBA), Mr. José Manuel Campa, the CEO of Revolut Securities Europe, Mr. Rolandas Juteika, the Head of the Digital Transformation Department at the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), Mr. Tim Shakesby, the President of European Market Service at NASDAQ, Mr. Roland Chai, the Chair of the World Federation of Investors (WFI), Mr. Mark Northway, the President of BETTER FINANCE, Ms. Jella Benner-Heinacher, the Executive Director of BETTER FINANCE, Ms. Aleksandra Maczynska, and the host – the Chairman of LIA, Mr. Giedrius Steponkus, will also share their views and opinions with the participants.
