Following the recent end of the January tour of the VZMD's international business-investor programs: Invest to Slovenia - investo.si and International Investors` Network - investo.international, with the visits of Miami, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and San Marcos, on Monday, the VZMD President, Mr. Kristjan Verbič, will visit Belgium, which is currently holding the Presidency of the EU Council. In this intensive week he will attend the financial forum EUROFI, the meeting of the Expert Advisory Group of the Financial Services User Group at the European Commission (FSUG), which he is a member of, and numerous other meetings. After that he will head to Sofia to join the economic delegation, which will accompany the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Ms. Nataša Pirc Musar, on the occasion of her official visit to the Republic of Bulgaria.
For Mr. Verbič this will already be the second international tour this year, starting in the Belgian Gent, where he will, at the invitation of the organizers - as previously in Bucharest, Sofia, Ljubljana, Prague, Santiago de Compostela, - traditionally attended the financial forum of one of the most important European think tanks - EUROFI. The latter always takes place in the country holding the Presidency of the EU Council, alongside the meeting of the European ministers of economy and finance ECOFIN, with participation of the prominent representatives from the fields of economy, finance and politics. It is focused on financial services and primarily strives to strengthen and integrate the European financial markets and their related policies.
The VZMD President will continue his activities in Brussels, with a two-day meeting of the FUSG Advisory Group as a member of this consulting body at the European Commission, which is composed of 20 members from 11 countries of the EU. After that, Mr. Verbič will travel to Bulgaria, where he will join the economic delegation, which will visit the Bulgarian capital Sofia, on the occasion of the official visit by the President of the Republic of Slovenia. Among other events, the delegation’s agenda anticipates a joint reception at the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia, visits to companies, a Slovene–Bulgarian business forum, and numerous business meetings.
As always, this will also include the presentation of the investment opportunities, activities, and possibilities of the investo.si and investo.international. Following the substantial and successful international activities in 2023 (VIDEO: https://youtu.be/Q50Xh8c27vk), the VZMD has once again prepared an extensive program with the possibilities of collaboration in the context of their international programs for 2024 and would like to INVITE all existing and new partners as well as interested business entities, institutions, and business people to also participate in numerous opportunities this year.
